When we reached Dawson Creek, the beginning of the Alaska Highway we met Dean, a Goldendoodle from North Carolina. He was on his way to Anchorage with his mom and her mom. Very nice people. They took our picture at Mile 0 marker. We saw them again at Liard Hot Springs. The highway has been a good ride so far, with lots to see and do. We have seen bear, mountain sheep, caribou, moose, elk, and buffalo.
Spent the night at Liard Hot Springs. There are no hook ups, but it a beautiful park. The walk to the hot springs was worth it. Better than the hot tub, but they didn't allow us to take wine to the springs.
We put our sign up at Watson Lake Sign forest. There are thousands of signs. We saw several from around home. Lots from Germany!
