Icefields Parkway

We drove through Banff National Park on the Icefields Parkway, reputed to be the most beautiful scenic drive in the world. we saw a lot of wildlife. Even though it was raining, the drive was beautiful.

We found a place for Savannah play in the snow. She went crazy, knocking me down while spinning and jumping. The picture of me in on my butt in the snow didn't come out. I think the camera person may have been laughing too hard to focus the camera.

There was still a lot of ice on the lakes and snow in the shady areas.

While stopped for lunch Savannah and I took a walk to see a water fall.

The Columbia Icefields covers hundreds of square miles. They have special busses to take you out onto the glacier.

Savannah and I went for a hike on a beautiful trail that lead to a stream racing through the mountains. The trail had a sign warning of grizzly bear activity, but we didn't see any wildlife, just beautiful scenery.

Banff NP is fantastic. We enjoyed the whole visit.
